Tonight you get to see

October 29, 2006 · Leave a Comment

The Carolina Panthers in their first National TV game of the year. For those of you not in North Carolina, you will get to see the explosiveness of Steve Smith and the awesome power of Julius Peppers as they take on the Dallas Cowboys. Hopefully the Panthers can pull it out but the Cowboys have a good team this year. Hopefully I do well in Fantasy Football this week too. We finished the first half of our season and now I’m in a rematch with the first team I played and lost too. He has a good team but I’m confident in mine even though I’ve made some changes recently. Enjoy the Panthers game tonight.

Another Sunday in Football Season

October 23, 2006 · 1 Comment

Well, the Panthers let me down yesterday. Instead of kicking the tying field goal Jake threw an errant pass that was intercepted in the endzone. I guess I underestimated the Bengals and they really stepped up and played well. But yesterday was a good day in spite of the Panthers loss. I went to church (actually 2 churches) with a new friend. I haven’t been to church in a long time and apparently even they are catching onto the technology with computers, and projectors replacing the hymnals with the song lyrics displayed on the big screen. Sorry, I know the headline was about football and I got off the subject. Now all I have to do is hope for Jeremy Shockey to have a disappointing game tonight ( and score less than 13 fantasy football points) for me to win in my FF league. Wish me luck. I’ll update you tomorrow night

My News

October 16, 2006 · 1 Comment

Well, yesterday was a good day. The Panthers stepped it up against the stifling defense of the Baltimore Ravens. Jake Delhomme had a career high 366 yards passing with 189 of them to Steve Smith. Man, Smith is unstoppable. Julius Peppers also had another good day with 2 sacks putting him in the NFL lead with 8 for the year. All of this meant good things for my fantasy football team. As long as the Bears can hold Edgerrin James to les than 30 points (and he’ll need over 100 yards and at least 3 touchdowns to get that so I have faith) then I’ll have beaten the league leader in our fantasy football league. It will put me at 4-2 (after a 0-2 start this will meant I went 4-0 the last month) and in a 3 way tie for the league lead.

Now, today. I had orientation at my new job of hospital (armed) security. It was a long, boring day made up of shots, videos, and speeches about benefits. Looks like tomorrow will be more of the same and on wednesday, thursday, and friday I’ll be in training classes in the security department. Oh, and friday I will get sprayed in the face with foam mace (really not looking forward to that) but I did meet an attractive aerobics instructor so I might be signing up to take aerobics classes (lol) and what appears to be a morning racquetball partner after I get off work. I will keep you updated and maybe post a picture of me after the mace incident.

Update

October 14, 2006 · Leave a Comment

Ok, as you guys know I have been unemployed for a while but that is about to end. I have hospital orientation Monday to begin my new job as a security guard (and yes I will have to carry a gun) so I am pretty excited about that. I will be back on third shift for the first time in 2 years. Today was another Saturday and another loss for the Tarheels. This time they were beaten by the University of South Florida out of Tampa(lol…so I’m sure Colleen is cheering). I think I’m one of the few people who doesn’t want to see John Bunting fired but with every loss that seems more and more like a probability. But basketball season is almost here and it looks like the Tarheels are a strong possibility of being the preseason 1 or 2. Now about today. Kind of uneventful but I did meet a new friend (who’s cute and seems nice) so we’ll see where that leads. My friend and I also ate lunch at my favorite restaurant (Hooters) so thats always nice. Ok, I think thats all for tonight but wish me luck because tomorrow my fantasy football team is going up against the league leader but I’m pretty confident. Oh, and to put as many different subjects as possible in one post on my upcoming birthday I will start my year long project of taking a picture a day and I’ll post here daily about that days picture. Good night all.

Whats going on here

October 6, 2006 · 1 Comment

Well, it’s been quite a day. First of all, you guys know tonight is Dateline and I think it was the last “To Catch a Predator” for a while but it was good. I especially loved the Prominent Doctor getting busted. He did ask for a lawyer during interrogation but the crafty detective talked him into waiving the right to an attorney and keep talking. What a putz (but what can you expect from someone who came to sleep with a 13 year old girl) I’ve watched enough “Law & Order” to know to shut the hell up until my lawyer arrives. Anyway, Dateline did give a little teaser of the next predator show (but didn’t mention when it will air) and they are gonna bust someone for the SECOND time. Thats right, I said second time. How do you get caught by these guys twice..Haha, I can’t wait. Oh yeah, you can go here for The Dateline online safety kit

I took down my room today. Today, I took down my bedroom. I added a dresser and got rid of an old entertainment system. Believe it or not, the thing broke down and fit into the trunk of my car. My best friend and I then waited til after dark and took it to the dump (shhh…don’t tell anyone). Also, earlier I got to go to one of the larger thrift shops in fayetteville. They had some really cool shit there.

Payperpost. Ok, so I’ve combined three posts into one. Well, anyway I was looking through the payperpost site where I’m a member(and waiting til my blog is old enough to start posting) and I found links to some sites where some people were talking pure shit about them. Apparently these 2 guys Jay Allen and Jason Calacanis are talking pure trash about PPP on blogs that are covered with Adsense ads. I’m not real sure who these guys are but I think it’s funny that they would say this kind of stuff. I’ve met nothing but really cool people since getting involved with PPP and I can’t wait til I can start posting some of their opportunities. Ted Murphy, I think you’re doing a cool thing (and I loved the Today Show blitz). Good Night all and have a great weekend. Hopefully I’ll have good news on Sunday regarding my Fantasy Football matchup

My Day

October 2, 2006 · 1 Comment

Well it’s official, I won my fantasy football game again this weekend 108-90. I am 2-2 after starting the season with 2 losses in a row. Next week though my team has to face my best friends team who put up 182 points this weekend. Also, my blog had it’s best day so far with 38 views. Hopefully it’ll keep building and I’ll have a good loyal group of regular readers. I put some items for sale on ebay today (see previous posts) and 2 have bids now so I’m gonna get some money…Sweet. I saw Pay Per Post’s big news today that they have closed a deal for 3 million dollars in venture capital. Thats really cool and I can’t wait til I can start posting with them and getting paid. I think it’s a great thing and I’m already a member so if you’re not, you should check it out and use my email address as a reference (it’s listed in the little gmail button on the right). Have a good night everyone.

Fantasy Football Week 4

October 1, 2006 · Leave a Comment

carolina_panthers.jpgOk, another week is here and I’m anticipating a good week now that Steve Smith is back for the Panthers. I’m also going against an opponent that’s 0-3 and I don’t believe he’s watching his team cause he has 3 players on teams with a BYE this week. Some of my key starters are QB Jon Kitna of Detroit vs. the Rams, Steve Smith (of course) against the Saints, and Warrick Dunn of the Falcons against the Cardinals. I’ll update this tonight but you can check out My Fantasy Football Team here.

Fantasy Football Update Week 3

September 25, 2006 · Leave a Comment

Ok, so tonight I’m watching the Falcons and Saints football game. It’s really special because it’s the first game back in the Superdome and the Saints are totally dominating the Falcons 17-3. Thats a good thing for the citizens of New Orleans who have been through so much this past year. The good news for me is that thanks to the performance of Alge Crumpler and Warrick Dunn (not great but I only needed 5 points between them to win my FF game this week) have given me 6 points. Thats right, you read correctly I have now won my first fantasy football game (the score currently is) 126-124. If this stands I will have a record of 1-2. Not great but I’ve still got plenty of time to go in the season. I did find out that the top 6 teams (out of 8 ) make it to the playoffs so I think I have a good chance…..SWEET!

***************UPDATE************************

Final Scores are in and I WON 130-120…SWEET!! Also, the Saints won 23-3. What a great night for the city of New Orleans.

What a day

September 17, 2006 · Leave a Comment

Ok, so My grandmother turns 95 tomorrow (actually it’s 2 am so its today) so today (saturday) I took her to Raleigh to my stepbrothers house. I actually had a good time even though my dad and I were the only UNC fans there and were outnumbered by NC State fans. Today also was an excellent day to see some great matchups and upsets in College football. None of the great games came on at noon so I ended up watching Bosston College beat BYU in overtime. Later on Michigan beat the tar out of Notre Dame (and Brady Quinns 3 interceptions might’ve ended his Heisman run). Florida beat Tennessee, Clemson beat Florida State, and Oregon beat Oklahoma. I’m the happiest about UNC finally winning their first game against Division 1-AA Furman 45-42. Our defense is pretty pathetic giving up 42 points and over 400 yards of total offense to aDivision 1-AA team (granted they did finish 2nd in Div. 1-AA last year) but we did have over 400 yards ourselves. It was only televised on ESPNU and since Time Warner doesn’t carry that channel I was forced to follow it on the internet. Apparently Cam Sexton started and played really well only throwing 1 interception (compared to the 2 per game Dailey has thrown so far). I think Dailey should switch to running back or receiver cause he’s really fast but he just throws too many interceptions. At least NC State lost today so they have a tie record with UNC (both are 1-2) and amazingly enough we’re tied with Miami who lost to Louisville (haha…I forgot that one earlier). Well, thats all for now. Hopefully The panthers can play like the predicted Super Bowl winners they are supposed to be…and hopefully they and the falcons can put up some amazing numbers to help my fantasy football rebound from the whupping we got last week. Good Night all
