I have switched my blog sites. Thank you for reading. Now just go to my new page which looks alot like this one. You can click go here to check it out. Thanks, and thanks to Colleen for helping me and answering my questions.
Well, yesterday was a good day. The Panthers stepped it up against the stifling defense of the Baltimore Ravens. Jake Delhomme had a career high 366 yards passing with 189 of them to Steve Smith. Man, Smith is unstoppable. Julius Peppers also had another good day with 2 sacks putting him in the NFL lead with 8 for the year. All of this meant good things for my fantasy football team. As long as the Bears can hold Edgerrin James to les than 30 points (and he’ll need over 100 yards and at least 3 touchdowns to get that so I have faith) then I’ll have beaten the league leader in our fantasy football league. It will put me at 4-2 (after a 0-2 start this will meant I went 4-0 the last month) and in a 3 way tie for the league lead.
Now, today. I had orientation at my new job of hospital (armed) security. It was a long, boring day made up of shots, videos, and speeches about benefits. Looks like tomorrow will be more of the same and on wednesday, thursday, and friday I’ll be in training classes in the security department. Oh, and friday I will get sprayed in the face with foam mace (really not looking forward to that) but I did meet an attractive aerobics instructor so I might be signing up to take aerobics classes (lol) and what appears to be a morning racquetball partner after I get off work. I will keep you updated and maybe post a picture of me after the mace incident.
Ok, as you guys know I have been unemployed for a while but that is about to end. I have hospital orientation Monday to begin my new job as a security guard (and yes I will have to carry a gun) so I am pretty excited about that. I will be back on third shift for the first time in 2 years. Today was another Saturday and another loss for the Tarheels. This time they were beaten by the University of South Florida out of Tampa(lol…so I’m sure Colleen is cheering). I think I’m one of the few people who doesn’t want to see John Bunting fired but with every loss that seems more and more like a probability. But basketball season is almost here and it looks like the Tarheels are a strong possibility of being the preseason 1 or 2. Now about today. Kind of uneventful but I did meet a new friend (who’s cute and seems nice) so we’ll see where that leads. My friend and I also ate lunch at my favorite restaurant (Hooters) so thats always nice. Ok, I think thats all for tonight but wish me luck because tomorrow my fantasy football team is going up against the league leader but I’m pretty confident. Oh, and to put as many different subjects as possible in one post on my upcoming birthday I will start my year long project of taking a picture a day and I’ll post here daily about that days picture. Good night all.
Ok, I’ haven’t posted in a couple of days. All indications point to me have gotten the job as a Hospital Security Officer. I go for hospital orientation Monday and Tuesday. I will be working midnight to 7 am 4 nights a week and 12 hour shifts every other week. Unfortunately I must be clean shaven so I’ll have to shave my goatee which I’ve had for well over a year (I don’t think I’m as attractive without it) and I’ll have to get sprayed in the face with Mace…Not looking forward to that. But it’s all worth it because I can continue with my Radiology degree I’m pursuing and I’ll be a hospital employee so I should have a job when I graduate. I’m sure I’ll definitely have some interesting stories to talk about here. Stay Tuned.
Ok, so I went to my interview this morning. Have you ever had a 2 hour interview. Thats right, I said 2 hours. It was crazy. He asked me all kind of stuff related to security. I was a security officer at another hospital before so I think I did pretty well. I’m gonna go eat lunch now but I’ll keep you informed on how it went.
Yesterday I turned in a job application for a security position at the local hospital. They called me this morning and told me I had an interview tomorrow. I’ve done hospital security before so I have experience but at a different hospital. They told me to prepare for a 1 to 2 hour interview. For the life of me I can’t figure out what they could ask me in that long of time. I hope I get it. I can only imagine what kind of stories that I would have for you guys here. Oh, did I mention that the hospital is in the poorest county in the state (try to guess which one)
Well, I’m sitting here watching the football game and I’ve been researching how to make some money online. I think the most invaluadle resource I have found is Lynn Terry. I’m still looking forward to the time when I actually talk to her. For now though I’ve been checking out her site ClickNewz and signing up with forums she talks about. I’ve been looking at the SSWT Discussion Forum and the eWealth forum. I’m starting to get excited too. Hopefully this blog of mine will pick up readers and I’ll get it hosted too. I just hope I can transfer the whole thing without losing anything,
